Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 15 : Kerala reported 4,006 fresh COVID positive cases and 125 deaths Today showing no respite from rising number of COVID cases in the State.
About 3,898 people have recovered from the disease today, a press release from the health department said this evening.
“Meanwhile, 125 recent deaths were confirmed due to COVID today. About 157 deaths were also added to the list based on appeals seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the State to 43,626,” the release added.
About 65,704 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. Currently 1,49,628 people are under observation in the State —
1,45,536 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 4,092 in hospitals.
Today, 203 people infected with virus were admitted in hospitals in the State. Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is above 10 at six wards where strict restriction is being imposed.(UNI)
