Palghar, Dec 1 :In Maharashtra, Palghar has bagged first place in providing employment under MGNREGS to the tribals during the fiscal year 2021-22, stated Collector Dr. Manik Gursal on Wednesday.
Talking to UNI, Dr. Gursal told, “The members of total of 59,770 families have been provided work under the employment of total of 16,46,211 man-days.”
“Last year too, Palghar generated employment to the tribals and achieved 177 pc of the target and generated 49,72,811 man-days of work despite the pandemic,” he apprised.

“As of November 30, there were a total of 27,244 labourers in a total of 877 works. As of the end of November, there were 8,856 works on the shelf which have a capacity of 16,48,574 man-days,” he added.(UNI)
