Gorakhpur, Nov 21 :Attacking the previous governments and the opposition, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that earlier governments had no thinking about the development of villages, poor, farmers, youth and women.
“Even if they made any plans, then too its basis was decided by looking at the person or caste. But, now this is not the case. Every section is getting the benefit of the mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Benefits of all schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are being provided to every section of the society without discrimination,” he claimed.

CM Yogi was addressing the inauguration ceremony of 1500 houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Manbela area of Gorakhpur on Sunday evening.

During this, he also presented symbolic keys and possession certificates to 15 beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister said that 43 lakh families in the state have been given the benefit of PM Awas Yojana. This could have happened earlier also but the Congress which ruled for the longest time, Samajwadi Party which formed the government four times in UP and Bahujan Samaj Party which got the opportunity to rule thrice, did not care about the poor.
“Under the rule of these parties, the benefits of schemes were not given to the poor, but given to the selected people after seeing their face,” he said.

CM Yogi said that in Gorakhpur city alone, 34,228 people have got their houses from PM Awas Yojana who were deprived of their own accommodation till now. He said that earlier the poor did not get food grains. Today every eligible person is getting free ration. People did not get electricity under earlier governments, but today everyone is getting enough electricity without any discrimination.(UNI)
