Maha: Marathwada registers 70 fresh Covid cases, 3 deaths

Aurangabad, Nov 19 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 70 fresh COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths were reported due to virus during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.

The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district was the worst-affected with 29 cases and 2 deaths, followed by Latur had 3 cases and single death,Beed

had 17 cases,Nanded had eight cases ,Jalna and Parbhani recorded 5 each cases, Osmanabad had 3 cases and Hingoli district nil,they added.

Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 963 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,27,838.

The state also registered 24 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,692.

Meanwhile, 972 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,71,763 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.64 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

At present, there are 11,732 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
