Thane, Nov 19 : Thane district reported 98 new coronavirus positive cases in last 24 hours taking tally to 5,68,140, the authorities informed Today.

For the first time, after the outbreak of the pandemic, the daily count has gone below 100, the official said.

With one death, a total number of fatalities have reached to 11566.

The mortality rate was 2.03 per cent, he added.

In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,38,390 while the death toll was 3,290 an official from Palghar said.(UNI)
