Sonipat, Nov 10 : Unidentified assailants shot dead wrestler Nisha Dahiya and her brother Suraj and seriously injured her mother at the Sushil Kumar Wrestling Academy in Halalpur area, here Today.

Critically-injured Dhanpati, mother of the national level wrestler, was admitted to PGIMS, Rohtak.

Police have sent the bodies of the wrestler and her brother to civil hospital here for post-mortem and started investigation.

Nisha won a bronze medal in 65 kg at U-23 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade (Serbia) on November 5 and on November 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had praised her and four other women wrestlers for their performances.(UNI)
