Talented manpower playing key role in attracting investment in Telangana: Minister
Hyderabad, Nov 8 : Telangana IT and Industry Minister K T Rama Rao has said that the talented manpower is playing a key role in attracting industry investments in the state.
The Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with the Government of Telangana organized the 17th edition of its flagship Conference on Manufacturing Excellence, Man’Exe–2021 with the theme “Re-imagining Manufacturing: Technology in driving Manufacturing Resilience and Excellence” here on Monday.
While addressing the conference, Rao said that the MSMEs are a growth engine of the economy and need support beyond Atma Nirbhar Bharat and the Govt of Telangana is taking several interventions to support MSMEs. Even through T-Works MSME could develop proto types.
He also appreciated the collaboration of CII Telangana with Government of Telangana in Cluster Management program with MSMEs, promoting Green & Sustainable Companies and Promoting Net Zero concept among the companies.
Rao also said that Telangana is 12th largest in population, 11th largest in the Area and 4th largest contributor to the economy. He also mentioned that Telangana is registering fast growth due to the presence of IT Sector where the talented manpower is playing a crucial role in attracting new investments.
On this platform, the Department of Industries, Government of Telangana has presented Industry Awards to the select organizations based in Telangana.
Introduced in 2017, the esteemed ‘Industry Awards’ is a statewide competition that recognizes and rewards exceptional achievements made by Telangana based businesses, covering both large & small organizations.
For the 4th time in a row, the award application was hosted by ‘Telangana State-GlobalLinker’, a networking platform with over 3,50,000+ SMEs across the world.
Applicants could participate in 6 categories – Best Export performance, Best Innovation, Best Sustainability practices, Best Startup, Best CSR Practices, Special Contribution (IT Services).
The awards were presented to the winners by the chief guest Mr Rama Rao.
The awards were facilitated by the Department of Industries & Commerce under the guidance of Mr Jayesh Ranjan IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jayesh Ranjan said, “It is heartening to see the industrial growth in Telangana through companies which are not only innovative but also have sustainability built into their fabric. The future belongs to such companies which not only create wealth for themselves but are also socially responsible.”(UNI)
