Two inter-state drug peddlers held, 110 kg Ganja seized
Hyderabad, Oct 29 : Special Operations Team (SOT) in L B Nagar here Today arrested two inter-state drug peddlers and seized 110 kg of Ganja from them.
Police also seized one four wheeler, three mobile phones and net cash of Rs 1,100, all worth about Rs 18.50 lakh from their possession.
On credible information, SOT, L B Nagar along with Abdullapurmet Police arrested, Lumbaram Solanki (24) of Jeedimetla, Medchal-Malkajgiri district and a native of Jodhpur District in Rajasthan and Kishna Ram (24), driver belonging to Rajendranagar and a native of Jalor district in Rajasthan, on Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the limits of Abdullapurmet Police Station when they transporting Ganja underneath the banana load from Narsipatnam to Nagpur in Maharashtra , Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat told media here.
Masada PaddaBalann (32) of Visakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh, a (Ganja supplier) and Rasheed (31) of Uttar Pradesh a (Ganja receiver) were absconding in the case, the Police Commissioner said.
The accused procured Ganja from Masada PaddaBalann of Narsipatnam and on their way to Maharashtra to hand over to Rasheed in Nagpur of Maharashtra, police intervened and arrested them.
The accused procured Ganja at the rate of Rs 5,000 and selling the same at the rate of Rs 10,000, Mr Bhagwat added.(UNI)
