Panaji, Oct 27 : Trinamool Congress today  said the government has been caught by the Supreme Court sleeping on the snooping issue and welcomed the apex court’s decision to form three-member panel of experts to probe the case.

Addressing a press conference here, TMC MP Derek O’Brien said,”During the entire session of Parliament government did not allow discussion on issues like internal security and snooping spyware Pegasus.
We were the first party which has been raising the issue from day one. We are happy that BJP has been caught sleeping on the issues. We welcome it.”

“My limited point is that for 21 days we gave notices. They were put under the carpet. BJP did not allow it,” he said.(UNI)
