Mumbai, Oct 27 :Prabhakar Sail, who is a witness in the sensational cruise drugs case, was grilled by the Mumbai Police till wee hours of Today.
Mr Sail—an employee of K P Gosavi who was present along with the NCB during the October 3 nautical action—has alleged that Rs 25 crore was demanded in lieu of releasing actor SRK’s son Aryan Khan.
Post negotiations, the matter was settled at Rs 18 crore out of which Rs 8 crore was meant as share for NCB officer Sameer Wankhede who has now been mired in several controversies.
After providing security cover to him, Mr Sail was called for questioning on Tuesday and he was quizzed till 0300 hours today.
He also submitted several evidences, including documents and footage, to the police for aiding further probe.
While in another case related to two Nigerians arrested by Mr Wankhede for alleged drug peddling, a witness has turned hostile, alleging that the officer took signatures on blank papers.(UNI)
