RSS trained 10 lakh volunteers to deal with Covid-19
Dharwad, Oct 26 : In order to deal with the possible third wave of Covid-19, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has specially trained more than 10 lakh workers at more than 1.5 lakh places in the country.
Briefing about the the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Executive Board meeting that is scheduled to held in Dharwad district of Karnataka from Thursday, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar in a press conference said that there was speculation about the third wave of corona in the country and so special training of workers to deal with the third wave was considered in the meeting of Prant Pracharaks held in July.
Since then training programs have been conducted at more than 1.5 lakh places across the country and more than 10 lakh workers have been trained.
Ambekar informed that the meeting of All India Executive Board has been organized from October 28 to 30 at Rashtriya Utthan Vidya Kendra, Dharwad. He said that it is hoped that a third wave does not come, but still, there will be discussion in the meeting regarding the preparedness of the situation.
Referring to the agenda of the meeting, he said that there have been reports of continuous attacks and incidents of violence on Hindus in Bangladesh. These incidents have been condemned all over the world. He said that there will be a special discussion on this issue in the meeting of the Executive Board and the resolution is also likely to be passed if there is a unanimous decision.
Ambekar said that the country is celebrating Amrit Mahotsav on 75 years of independence. There will be many programs in the country on this occasion, which will also be discussed in the meeting.
There will also be discussion about informing citizens about unknown or little-known freedom fighters.
He said that the Sangh was established in 1925, and 100 years of the Sangh are going to be completed in 2025. There will be discussion on the development of workers. Discussions will also be held about the programs on 400th Prakash Gurpurab (birth anniversary) of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.
RSS organizes such meetings twice a year. The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha meeting is held in March while the Executive Board meeting is held between Dussehra and Deepawali.
In the March meeting, representatives plan to expand organizational work and review the work done in the October meeting.
About 350 members of the organization including Sangh Chalaks, Karyavah and Pracharaks from all provinces and regions are expected to participate in the meeting. Corona protocol will be followed during the meeting.
From last year till July, all the meetings were conducted online. Now for the first time the meeting of the Executive Board is being held in full presence.(UNI)
