Thane, Oct 21 :With 226 new cases of covid-19 in last 24 hours, the infection count in Thane district of Maharashtra has mounted to 5,63,975, an official said today.

While a total deaths has spiked to 11,468, with three deaths in last 24 hours.

The mortality rate was 2.03 per cent, he added.

In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,37,632 while the death toll is 3,282 an official from Palghar said.(UNI)
