Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 20 : Kerala reported 11,150 fresh COVID positive cases and 82 deaths today showing no respite from rising number of COVID cases and deaths in the State.
About 8,592 people have recovered from the disease today, a press release from the health department said this evening.
Meanwhile, 82 recent deaths were confirmed today as due to Covid taking the death toll in the state to 27,084.
About 94,151 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. Currently 2,89,666 people are under observation in the state — 2,80,038 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 9,628 in hospitals.
In hospitals, 707 people were admitted with virus Infection today. Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is above 10 at 211 wards where strict restriction is being imposed.(UNI)
