New Delhi, Oct 20 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday expressed anguish over the loss of lives due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand and appealed to the party workers to extend all possible support in the relief work.

“My condolences to the Uttarakhand flood victims. The situation is still serious. Follow safety rules.I appeal to the Congress workers to extend all possible support in the relief work,” Gandhi wrote in a tweet in Hindi along with the hashtag ‘Uttarkhand Floods’.

As per official sources, a total of 46 people were killed in the Himalayan state due to heavy rains and landslides.(UNI)
