Hyderabad, Oct 20 : In the backdrop of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy finalizing the Muhurat of re-opening of the renovated Yadadri temple, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited Yadadri on Tuesday.

Speaking to media on the occasion, the Chief Minister who examined especially the re-construction works, the main temple, and the Sanctum Sanctorum said that the temple Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam will be held on March 28, 2022. Invitations will be sent to several Peetadhipathies in this regard.

Eight days before Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam, Maha Sudharshana Yaga will be performed, the Chief Minister said and added that thousands of Rithvikes are participating in the Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam program.

Mr Rao also announced the gold plating of Temple Vimana Gopuram on the lines of Tirumala temple with 125 kgs of gold worth about Rs 64 crores.

In this regard, the Chief Minister announced to donate 10116 grams of gold (1.116 kgs) on behalf of his family. Mr Rao also said that several people came forward and announced to donate gold including Minister Ch Malla Reddy (2 kgs), Nagarkurnool MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy (2 kgs), Kaveri Seeds Bhaskar Rao (1 kg), Chinna Jeeyar Swamy (1 kg).

Earlier, the Chief Minister personally handed over the handwritten Muhurat letter of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy to Temple EO Geeta and asked her to place the letter at the Lotus feet of the deity.

Mr Rao told the Temple Archakas that Sudarshan Yaga would be performed at Yadadri with 1000 Ritwiks under the supervision of the Jeeyar Swamy.(UNI)
