Himachal Pradesh reports 126 new COVID cases and two deaths
Hamirpur (HP), October 16: Two people, both from the Kangra district succumbed to the dreaded virus even as the state reported 126 new COVID cases during the last twenty-four hours ending at 1900 hrs tonight, health authorities said today.
Those who were found infected included forty people from Kangra district, twenty-four from Hamirpur district, and seventeen from Mandi district respectively.
A spokesman of the HP Health Department told UNI that the number of total fatalities increased to 3,703 and active cases stood at 1,321.
He appealed to the people to abide by the instructions issued by the government agencies to counter the COVID virus and hence keep them and their families safe from it (virus).
On other hand, twenty-four people including one dozen children were found infected by the coronavirus in Hamirpur district where the virus was spreading day by day.
The number of active cases in the district came down to 289 as 35 older cases were also cured during the last twenty-four hours.
Meanwhile, the district health department has launched a massive drive for the vaccination of the left out people for the second dose. The CMO, Hamirpur has appealed to those who have been left out to reach the health stations located near their houses and get themselves and their families vaccinated against the virus.(UNI)
