Aurangabad / Mumbai, Oct 16 : Maharashtra today reported 1,553 fresh Covid-19 patients and 26 fatalities in a single day, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 65,89,982 and the toll to 1,39,760, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.

On the other hand, 1,682 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 64,16,998.

The state’s recovery rate and the fatality rate were steady at 97.38 per cent and 2.12 per cent, respectively.

There are now 29,627 active cases in the district, added the bulletin.(UNI)
