New Delhi, Oct 16 : Delhi Police have arrested an accused, who was allegedly involved in murder of a police personnel’s son, after a brief encounter in Delhi, police said today.

According to police, the accused, identified as Anil Joon, had involvements in several previous criminal activities.

He was absconding since October 7 after allegedly committing the murder of the son of an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police, the police said.

Police intercepted Joon in Dwarka Sector 23 on Friday night and asked him to surrender. However, he opened three rounds of fire on cops.

In retaliation, the police shot three rounds, which hit his both knees, after which he was arrested. He has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.(UNI)
