Panaji, Sep 30 :Goa reported 113 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths during the past 24 hours, the health department said today.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the addition of these new cases, the cumulative number of infections in the state rose to 1,76,431, while the death toll climbed to 3,314.

Total 85 more recoveries were also reported during the past 24 hours, taking the number of those recovered in the state to 1,72,261.
Recovery rate in the state currently stands at 97.64 per cent.
On Thursday, 89 patients were advised home isolation, 24 were admitted to hospitals while eight were discharged.
As many as 5135 new samples were tested on Thursday, taking the number of tests in the state to 13,53,489.
The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 856.(UNI)
