Hyderabad, Sep 28 : Telangana government on Monday evening announced a holiday for today for all government offices, including schools, colleges and educational institutions, in the state in the wake of heavy rains.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar the situation created by the heavy rains across the state due to the impact of the Gulab cyclone , according to an official release issued here.
The Chief secretary directed the Principal Secretary (GAD ) to take appropriate action as per directions of the Chief minister.
However, the Chief Secretary said the emergency departments like Revenue, Police, Fire Services, Municipal, Panchayati Raj, Irrigation, Roads and Buildings should be on emergency duty to ensure that no property or lives are lost due to heavy rains.(UNI)
