Kakinada, Sep 28: The Central government has notified the Amalapuram – Ravulapalem road as the new national highway 216E.

A communication to this effect was received by the Andhra Pradesh Minister for social welfare Pinipe Viswaroop from Rajesh Gupta, Director Union Ministry of road transport and Highways.

Disclosing this to media persons on Tuesday the Minister Viswaroop said that the highway starting from its junction with NH-216 near Amalapuram connecting Palivela and terminating at its junction with NH-216A at Ravulapalem was notified as the new national highway 216E in the extraordinary Gazette of the Union government dated September 27.

While expressing his happiness over the notification, the Minister thanked the Union Minister Nithin Gadkari for promptly responding to his letter he also thanked Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy for his efforts towards fulfilling the long cherished dreams of Konaseema people.(UNI)
