Telangana govt completes 22 works with Rs 1946.9 cr under SRDP : Minister
Hyderabad, Sep 27 : Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today informed the house that the state government has completed 22 works with a cost of Rs 1946.9 crore under Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP).
Replying to questions raised by the members in the house during the question hour, Mr Rao said Hyderabad is growing as Viswanagaram (global city).
As part of it, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken up SRDP to ease out the traffic congestion in the city with a cost of Rs 5693.51 crore.
Under SRDP, link roads, new roads, under roads and flyovers are being constructed by utilizing modern technology, the Minister said.
Mr Rao said, till now 22 works were completed with a cost of Rs 1946.9 crore and 24 works (21 by GHMC & 3 other Departments) are in progress.
The ongoing works will be completed by the end of December, 2022, he added.(UNI)
