Maha: Marathwada registers 104 fresh COVID-19 cases & 3 deaths
Aurangabad,Sep 27 :The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 104 fresh COVID-19 cases and 3 related deaths, health authorities informed today.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Osmanabad district reported the most 15 cases and 2 deaths, followed by Beed with 32 cases and one death, Aurangabad reported 27 cases, Latur registered 18 cases, Nanded had 6 cases, Jalna had five cases, Parbhani registered one case and Hingoli did not registered any new COVID case.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 3,206 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 65,44,325.
The state also registered 36 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,38,870.
Meanwhile, highest 3,292 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 63,64,027 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.24 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 37,860 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
