Maha: Marathwada registers 122 fresh COVID-19 cases & 3 deaths
Aurangabad, Sep 25 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 122 fresh COVID-19 cases and 3 more deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed today.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Beed district reported the most infections with 51 cases and a single death, followed by Osmanabad with 40 cases and a single death, Hingoli reported one death, Latur registered 15 cases, Aurangabad had 12 cases, Jalna recorded 3 cases, Parbhani one case.
While Nanded and Hingoli districts did not register any new COVID positive cases.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 3,286 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 65,37,843.
The state also registered 51 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,38,776.
Meanwhile, 3,933 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 63,5,7,012. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.23 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 38,491 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
