Panaji, Sep 25 :Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that 50 per cent of the eligible people have been fully vaccinated with both the doses in the state, it was reported today.

‘In another fantastic milestone, 50% of eligible people in Goa are now fully vaccinated with 2 doses. Congratulations to all Goans for cooperating to make this happen. With the continual effort our state shall soon be fully vaccinated,’ he said in a tweet.

Last week, the Chief Minister had said that the state government had vaccinated 100 per cent of eligible people in the state with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

He had said in addition to the people of the state, tourists and foreign nationals too were vaccinated.

During his interaction with health workers, doctors, senior citizens and government officials of the state on September 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated the state for vaccinating 100 percent eligible population of the state against COVID-19 with the first dose.(UNI)
