Hyderabad, Sep 24 : Telangana recorded 239 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths today even as the number of active cases in the state stood at 4,778.
The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year, stands at 6,64,650 and the death toll stands at 3,911.
A total of 336 patients were declared recovered on Friday taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,55,961.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate stood at 98.69 per cent now, state Medical and Health department said in a bulletin here.
So far 79.9 percent of overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.1 per cent have been symptomatic.
On Friday, 50,569 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus and with this, Telangana completed testing 2.61 crore samples and has reached 7.01 lakh samples testing per million population.
Of the total positive cases recorded on Friday, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 68 cases followed 17 cases in Karimnagar, 16 cases each in Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy , 12 cases in Warangal Urban and 10 cases each in Jagityal and Medchal Malkajgiri.(UNI)
