Russia, China, Pak agree to maintain contacts with Taliban: Moscow
Moscow, Sep 23: Special representatives of Russia, China, and Pakistan agreed with the Taliban (banned as a terrorist organisation in Russia) to maintain contacts for the sake of Afghanistan’s peace and prosperity at the recent consultations in Kabul, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
“An agreement was reached to maintain constructive contacts in the interests of Afghanistan’s peace and prosperity, and regional stability and development … The Taliban emphasised their special focus on promoting relations with Russia, China, and Pakistan, and, the three countries’ constructive role in strengthening peace and safety in Afghanistan,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
