Aurangabad/Mumbai, Sep 21: Maharashtra Today reported 3,131 fresh COVID-19 cases and 70 fatalities in a single day, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 65,27,539 and the toll to 1,38,616, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.
On the other hand, 4,021 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 63,44,744.
The state’s recovery rate shot up to 97.17 percent, while the fatality rate was steady at 2.12 percent.
There are now 40,712 active cases in the state, the bulletin said. (UNI)
