Mah: Seven more bodies recovered in the boat accident incident

Amravati /Nagpur, Sep 16: Rescue teams Today recovered seven more bodies of victims who were on a boat that capsized in the Wardha river in Maharashtra’s Amaravati district, a senior police official said.
According to the official total 13 people were on the boat when it capsized on Tuesday most probably due to overloading, two of the occupants swam to safety.
Three bodies were recovered on Tuesday and disaster management rescue teams could locate seven more bodies on Thursday, the official said.
Total 10 bodies have so far been recovered till now while an 11-year-old girl is still missing, he said.
The deceased included seven females and three males, he said.
Among the dead were three children – two girls, aged two and 13, and an eight-year-old boy, the official added.
It must be mentioned here that the incident took place in Warud Tehsil within the jurisdiction of Benoda police station of Amravati, when three families from Gadegaon were on way to a temple after visiting a waterfall nearby.(UNI)
