Mysuru, Aug 25: A 12-year-old boy was killed and his brother injured when a overhead water tank collapsed on them in Hunsur taluk of the district, police said Today.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Sandeep of Mnuganhalli village. The mishap occurred last evening when the siblings were sitting under the tank in Kaveri Enclave, a private residential layout. The tank suddenly came crashing down killing Sudeep on the spot and injuring his elder brother Pradeep. They had come with their parents, who were harvesting groundnuts, on nearby farmland.
The villagers staged a protest demanding that the developers of the enclave Suresh and Mohan be taken to task.
MLA H P Manjunath visited the spot and consoled the family members.
A case has been registered.(UNI)
