Vice-President wraps up 10-day Karnataka tour
Bengaluru, Aug 25: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, who has been on a Karnataka state tour for the past ten days, has returned to the National Capital after completing a family tour.
Mr. Naidu left for Delhi on a special flight from HAL airport Wednesday. CM Basavaraja Bommai, who greeted him on the occasion, gifted Naidu a book.
Notably, the Chief Minister has banned presenting of bouquets in the government program asking them to be replaced with books. Mr. Bommai gifted the Vice-President a copy of Pride and Prejudice. The book, written by Jane Austen, is a popular novel.
Karnataka Governor Thavar Chand Gehlot, Minister of Health, K Sudhakar, were present on the occasion. (UNI)
