After safe return, Mangaluru Police Commissioner interacts with Afghan returnees

Mangaluru, Aug 25: Seven people from Mangaluru and its vicinity who were employed in the NATO military base in Afghanistan have returned home safely.
Efforts would be made to repatriate any others who are from the region by contacting the authorities concerned if information regarding them is provided, said City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar.
The Commissioner, on Wednesday, met all the seven men who returned from Afghanistan after being airlifted.
Prasad Anand, Dinesh Rai, Shravan Anchan, Jagadish Poojary, Desmond David D’Souza, Densil Monteiro, and Melwyn Monteiro have returned home safely in the past few days. If there is information of anyone else from the region who is stranded in Afghanistan, then the same will be intimated to the Nodal Officer ADGP Umesh Kumar, the Commissioner said. (UNI)
