Hyderabad, Jul 30: Telangana reported 614 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths until 1730 hours Today, pushing the cumulative caseload to 6,44,330 and death toll to 3,800.

The fatality rate of the southern state stands at 0.58 per cent against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here today.

A total of 657 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide in 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries thus far to 6,31,389 constituting a recovery rate of 97.99 per cent while the national recovery rate was 97.35 per cent.

The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 9,141, the bulletin said.

As many as 1,11,251 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1950 swab samples are awaited.

Cumulatively, 2,18,93,203 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the bulletin said. (UNI)
