Hamirpur(HP), Jul 29 :The district Congress party on Thursday organised a massive tree planation campaign in Kaleamb village of the district in memory of Late Vir Bhadra Singh, the former HP Chief Minister.
The function was chaired by the DCC chief, Rajendra Zar and was also attended by MLA, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal and other senior district level leaders of the party.
A spokesman said today that in all about 150 to 200 saplings of various species were planted.
At the beginning of this event, rich tributes were paid to former Chief Minister and other party eladers who dided recently.

While presiding over today’s program, District Congress Committee President Rajendra Jar said that Virbhadra Singh was the creator of the state in real sense as ninety percent of the works in state and in Hamirpur district were held under his tenure.

He expressed optimsim that ther party would win the next Vidhan sabha elections in the state with massive mandate as the people were upset with the wrong doings of the BJP and its leaders.

Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, MLA said that plants were an important part of our life and they should be protected at all.(UNI)
