Law and order situation deteriorated in AP : Tulasi Reddy alleges

Vijayawada, Jul 29 : Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Working President Dr. N Tulasi Reddy alleged that the law and order situation had deteriorated in the state and the YSRCP led government was ruling the state in an anarchical manner.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he reminded that the Congress party had predicted that if the YSRCP was voted to power, it would create an anarchic rule and lawlessness would prevail in the state.
The Congress prediction had come true now in the state, the Senior Congress leader claimed.
Mr Reddy vehemently condemned the arrest of former Minister and Telugu Desam Party Senior leader Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao. “The YSRCP activists hurled stones on his car and tried to attack him with sticks.
Instead of arresting the accused, the police arrested the former Minister. The state government had failed in protecting the law and order situation”, he alleged.
Referring to the release of Rs.693.81 crore by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today under Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme, the APCC Working President said late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy during the Congress party’s regime in 2007 in the united AP state introduced Tuition Fee Reimbursement scheme.
Now the YSRCP is implementing the same scheme after changing the name of the scheme as Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme, he claimed, and stated that the Congress then did not spend crores of rupees for publicity.
City Congress President Naraharishetti Narasimha Rao was among those who were present at the press conference.(UNI)
