Kakinada, Jul 29 : Kakinada Municipal commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar has distributed dry ration kits adequate for 21 days to 500 municipal sanitation workers at a brief event held at the corporation office here Today.
The commissioner has complimented the Akshaya Pathra foundation, an NGO for its gesture towards the sanitation staff who are the front line workers in the current pandemic situation.
Akshaya Pathra foundation member Mahesh said that the kits contain rice, Atta, red gram dal, Bengal gram dal, edible oil, sambar powder chilli powder, sugar, turmeric powder.
He said they were also distributing free food daily for 3,000 needy people through 12 food counters scattered all over the city.(UNI)
