Thane, Jul 29 : As a worrying sign, the Vasai Virar civic limits had a share of halve COVID deaths reported across the Mumbai Circle on July 28, official data said Today.
In the past 24 hours, Maharashtra reported a total of 286 pandemic deaths, of which 112 occurred in the Mumbai Circle aka Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
With 56 fatalities alone in Vasai Virar, the city accounted for 50 per cent share in cumulative toll of the Mumbai Circle. While, 32 others succumbed to the virus in Raigad district.
In a delightful contrast, Thane interiors and the civic bodies of Ulhasnagar and Bhiwandi Nizampur saw no deaths on Wednesday, data apprised.
Meanwhile, there were single digit deaths in the cities of Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan Dombivli, Mira Bhayandar, Panvel and Palghar district.

So far, Maharashtra has tallied 62,82,914 cases and 1,32,145 deaths, including 16,37,744 cases and 34,258 deaths in the Mumbai Circle, data told.(UNI)
