Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 28 : Covid-19 was newly detected in 22,056 persons in Kerala Today while 17,761 patients have recovered from the disease, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.
In a press release here this evening, the CM said “1,96,902 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) is 11.2 %. A total of 2,67,33,694 samples have been sent for testing till this day.”
Meanwhile, 131 recent deaths were confirmed today as due to Covid taking the death toll in the state to 16,457.
In the last 24 hours, Covid was not detected in any person who recently came to Kerala from the UK. So far, 11 people who came from the UK were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.(UNI)
