Why kids are held responsible for the actions of the father, Mehbooba Mufti on the sacking of Salahuddin’s sons
Jammu, Jul 12: Against the backdrop of the sacking of two sons of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin’s from service by the Jammu and Kashmir Government, former Chief Minister and People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that why children are to be held responsible for the actions of their father.
“I am not supporting anybody. But, why are children to be held responsible for the actions of their father, until and unless, don’t have proof,” Ms. Mufti told reporters here this afternoon.
The PDP president is on a four-day visit to Jammu.
On being asked that NIA has found them guilty, Ms. Mufti said, “not only these two but 20-25 people were also detained by the NIA this year.”
“An individual can be put behind bars but not the thoughts,” she said.
Ms. Mufti further said, “inquiry is not the judgment and it is still on and how one can say that they are accused.”
Jammu and Kashmir Government has sacked 11 of its employees including two sons of Syed Salahudin’s sons for having “terror links”.(UNI)
