Srinagar, Jul 12: A 28-year-old youth was Today electrocuted to death after coming in contact with a live wire in the central Kashmir district of Budgam.

Official sources said that an auto driver, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, was loading goods in his vehicle when he got in contact with a live wire at Ompora in Budgam. ”Dar was critically injured in the incident,” they said, adding the wounded was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

They said after completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. ”Police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added. (UNI)
