Govt doctors stage dharna in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur, Jul 12: Doctors on Monday staged dharna after closing OPD services at Civil Hospital in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur, to protest against the Sixth Pay Commission’s recommendations to decrease and de-link the Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) from the basic pay.
The dharna was staged on the call of the Joint Government Doctors Coordination Committee, led by General Secretary of District PCMS Association Dr. Sanam Sandhu and President, Dental PCMS Dr. Navneet Kaur.

On the occasion, Dr. Jaswinder Singh and Dr. Swati, both SMOs of the Civil Hospital, Dr. Navjot, Dr. Sham Sunder Sharma, Dr. Lakshmi, Dr. Harnoor Kaur, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur, Dr. Rajwant Kaur, Dr. Gagandeep, Dr. Baldeep Singh, Dr. Upkar Singh Sooch, Dr. Santokh Singh and Dr. Kamlesh Kaur, etc were present.
