Hamirpur (HP), Jul 10: Despite the huge rush of tourists in the hill stations of Shimla, Manali, Kullu, Chamba, and Dharamshala, only 13 Covid-19 cases were recorded in Himachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours, a Health Department spokesman said here today.
He said the number of active Covid cases is going down by the day and as of today at 1400 hrs, the number was just 1,219.
No death was reported since 1900 hrs on Friday, the spokesman said, adding that however, the total number of deaths in the state stood at 3,473.
He said that the total number of the positive cases recorded in the state was 2, 03,438 and those cured stood at 1, 98,724.
The spokesman appealed to the people especially tourists to abide by the Covid guidelines and wear face masks while venturing out and maintain social distance at all costs for their own welfare and benefits. (UNI)
