Telangana registers 704 fresh COVID-19 cases, 5 fatalities on Saturday
Hyderabad, Jul 10: COVID-19 cases declined further in Telangana with the state Today reporting 704 fresh cases pushing cumulative cases to 6,31,218 so far.
With the death of 5 patients in the last 24 hours, the toll in the state due to the pandemic now stands at 3,725 translating a case fatality rate of 0.59 percent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 percent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here today.
As many as 917 people have recuperated from Coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to take the total number of recoveries thus far to 6,16,769 constituting a recovery rate of 97.71 percent while the national average was 97.17 percent.
Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 10,724, the bulletin said.
A total of 1,00,632 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 974 swab samples are awaited.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, 1,96,94,564 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far, the bulletin said. (UNI)
