Today said that If YSR was alive he would have not permitted Smt Vijayamma and Smt Sharmila to criticize the Congress Party.
In a media statement here, Mr. Niranjan said their criticism and comments against the Congress Party certainly hurt his Soul.
Stating that Rajasekhar Reddy was a committed Congress leader throughout his life period, he said
Vijayamma crossed his path and criticised the Congress Party.
The Congress leader said, Ms. Vijayamma has recalled YSR as a man who always stood by his word but on the contrary she herself is now trying to ride on two horses with conflicting interests. Her criticism against Congress is not right.
She has forgotten the wholehearted support and encouragement given by the Congress Party and Smt Sonia Gandhi to YSR for his raise in politics and resorted to criticising the Congress Party, he said.
While appealing to the people not to forget the works done by YSR for them, she conveniently ignores the things done by the Congress Party for YSR, Mr. Nirajan said it seems that Smt Vijayamma and Smt Sharmila are ignorant of the long history of the Congress Party which fought for Independence.
He said they should introspect how much they benefited from the Congress party and how much Congress Party benefitted.
The Congress leader said, “ Even after the demise of YSR, the Congress Party gave the highest regard to that family, but they left the Party without patience.
It is to be noted that after the elections to State Assembly in the year 1978 and 1989 the PCC President Dr. Channa Reddy was made the Chief Minister but after the assembly elections in 2004 and 2009 the opportunity was not given to the PCC President but the Congress Party President Smt Sonia Gandhi had chosen YSR as Chief Minister.
This shows the encouragement given by the Congress leadership to YSR and provided an opportunity to raise. If Smt Vijayamma and Smt Sharmila have any morals, they should not speak against Congress”, he said.
Stating that the people of Telangana are well aware that their long-cherished dream of a separate State had become reality only with the decision of Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Niranjan said they were also aware of the conspiracy behind the formation of this new Party.
“ The unfortunate role of Smt Vijayamma in this conspiracy affects the personality of YSR for which his family members are only responsible”, he added. (UNI)
