CBI arrests NISG Asst.Manager in bribery case
Hyderabad, Jul 9: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Manager, National Institute for Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad (working as State Resource Person – SRP of UIDAI in Jaipur under an MoU of UIDAI with National Institute for Smart Government) and a private person in a bribery case.
A case was registered against the Owner of a private firm based at Jaipur and an unknown public servant of UIDAI posted in Delhi/Jaipur on a complaint alleging therein that the said Owner of the private firm has demanded undue advantage of Rs.25,000 from the complainant in the name of the unknown public servants of UIDAI of Jaipur/New Delhi for facilitating the complainant in restoring his Operator ID which was suspended in the month of March 2021., CBI said in a release here today.
A trap was laid and the said private person was caught while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 from the complainant. During the investigation, the role of said Assistant Manager was also found and he was arrested.
Searches were conducted at the premises of both the accused.
Both the arrested accused will be produced today before the Competent Court. (UNI)
