Beautify historical sites of Aurangabad: MP Jaleel to ASI
Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Jul 9: Aurangabad MP Imtiaz Jaleel Today visited the office of the Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) and discussed in detail the development of historical sites across this district.
He asked Superintendent Milan Kumar Chaule to expedite the work of beautification of historical places in Aurangabad, with an emphasis on the preservation and conservation of antiquities.
Mr. Jaleel said, “Aurangabad district has world-famous historical objects and places which are visited by thousands of domestic and foreign tourists every year.”
“Aurangabad is of special importance in terms of tourism and has world-famous tourist destinations like Ajanta, Ellora, Daulatabad Fort, and Bibi Ka Maqbara. As all the historical tourist sites and antiquities in the district come under the purview of the ASI, they should expedite the work in a technical and planned manner,” he told.
He instructed the concerned authorities to arrange parking at the historical site Daulatabad, to beautify the Bibi Ka Maqbara area by lighting, and to organize a planned festival at Ajanta-Ellora and Bibi Ka Maqbara to boost employment. (UNI)
