Hyderabad, Jul 8:A new political outfit christened as ‘YSR Telangana Party’ came into being in the state Today.
Ms.Y.S.Sharmila, daughter of late Chief Minister of erstwhile United Andhra Pradesh Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy launched the party at a meeting here.
The launch of the party coincides with the birth anniversary of Dr.Rajasekhara Reddy.
Before arriving at a convention center in Whisper Valley in the city, Ms.Sharmila, who is the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy offered prayers at the grave of Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya.
Her mother Vijayamma and husband Anil Kumar also attended the meeting.
Ms.Sharmila who hoisted the party flag to mark the launch of the party detailed the party’s agenda and programs.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Vijayamma said that there was a need to revive Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule in Telangana and recalled the various projects launched in the state during the late leader’s regime. (UNI)
