Telangana adds 731 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths
Hyderabad, Jul 8: Telangana state added 731 new COVID-19 cases until 1730 hours Today, to push the cumulative caseload in the state to 6,29,785 to date.
COVID-19 deaths in the state surged to 3,714 after 4 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours translating a case fatality rate of 0.58 percent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 percent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here Today.
A total of 993 people have recovered from coronavirus across the state in a span of 24 hours taking the overall recoveries thus far to 6,14,865 constituting a recovery rate of 97.63 percent while the national recovery rate was 97.14 percent.
The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 11,206 the bulletin said.
As many as 1,02,761 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1,015 swab samples are awaited.
Cumulatively, 1,94,87,887 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the bulletin said. (UNI)
