Panaji, Jul 8: Goa reported 195 new cases of Covid 19 and four deaths during the last 24 hours.

According to a daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, the number of total confirmed cases in the state increased to 1,68,210 while the number of total deaths shot up to 3086.

There were 176 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 1,63,159.

The recovery rate in the state stood at 97.00 percent.

On Thursday, 169 patients were sent for home isolation, 26 were admitted to hospitals while 15 were discharged.

As many as 4696 new samples were tested on Thursday taking the number of total samples tested so far to 9,57,681.

The number of active cases in the state increased to 1965. (UNI)
