HDM course commences at CDM Secunderabad
Hyderabad, Jul 7: Higher Defence Management (HDM) Course commenced at College of Defence Management, Secunderabad.
Lieutenant General JS Nain, General Officer Commanding in Chief (GOC-in-C), Southern Command delivered the inaugural address to 162 participant officers including 13 officers from the allied foreign countries attending the HDM Course – Serial 17, a Defence release here said today.
The College of Defence Management is the front runner in aligning and integrating management philosophy with operational planning.
The HDM Course is a flagship program pitched at the directional and conceptual level with a focus on the application of management tools and techniques at the operational and strategic levels.
The General Officer during the online address highlighted the importance of developing contemporary knowledge, skills, and competencies especially in the age of disruption.
He urged the participants to sharpen their intuitive skills through the development of qualitative and quantitative techniques for informed decision making and also highlighted the need to internalise humility and patience as well as the importance of communication skills in the Paradigm of Strategic Leadership.
